Our decals are easy to install but if you've never installed decals before we know you'll feel more comfortable with a few tips.

  1. Make sure the surface on which you will install the decal(s) is clean and dry. We recommend a solution of one part vinegar and 10 parts water to clean both glass and metal.
  2. If the decal is to be centered (over the rear view mirror, for example) measure to the center point of the lettering (not the masking material) and mark the center of the decal on the side with the less transparent, shinier material.
  3. Lay the decal on a flat surface with the shiny backing side down. (The material that feels like masking tape should be facing up.) Decals that will be applied to the inside of glass will read right to left (backwards). All other decals will read left to right (normal).
  4. Loosen one corner and slowly and carefully peel the masking tape and decal off of the shiny backing. Be careful not to touch the sticky side of the decal as the oil from your fingers can damage the glue that causes the decal to stick to the surface where it will be applied.
  5. Pick up the decal by both ends of the remaining masking material.
  6. Hold the decal in place over the area where it is to be placed. DO NOT allow the sticky portion of the decal to touch the area where it is to be placed until you are satisfied with the placement.
  7. Carefully lay the decal in place from top to bottom.
  8. Rub vigorously from the inside-out to smooth out any ripples in the decal before removing the masking material.
  9. Once you are satisfied with the smoothness of the decal carefully peel off the masking material.

Enjoy your decals!
